Transcribe an Interview to Text

1) Sign up for Descript for free. Enjoy 1 free hour of transcription per month without needing a credit card.

2) On the dashboard, click "New Project" and then select "Audio Project".

3) Upload your audio file. A "Transcribing..." pop-up will appear. Choose the audio and name the speaker or speakers.

4) Select the language that matches your interview.

5) Once the transcription is complete, press "C" on your keyboard to make any edits.

6) Finally, click Publish > Export and choose your preferred export format. You can also publish it as a web link to share or embed your transcript alongside the audio using Descript's media player.
