How to Trim Audio File

Trimming an audio file with Descript is a straightforward process that can be completed in just a few steps. Here's how you can do it:

1) Sign up for Descript for free. You get one free hour of transcription per month, and no credit card is required to get started.

2) Upload your audio file by simply dragging and dropping it into the project window. Descript will automatically begin the transcription process.

3) Once the transcription is complete, you can highlight and delete the parts of the transcript you want to remove by pressing backspace. Alternatively, you can trim the audio directly by opening the "Show Timeline" tab in the bottom left corner and selecting the sections you wish to delete.

4) After making your edits, share your newly trimmed audio file by clicking on the "Publish" button and then selecting "Export." You can also download the file to your desired location.
